In order to ensure that our products are utilised to its full effect, we’ve engineered our training courses to quickly and effectively provide your operators with the necessary skills and insights to implement our solutions with maximum effect.

It is important to note that without proper training, operators using our products will not be able to maximise its efficiency. Training simplifies security operations and the associated management thereof.

Courses

The courses listed below have been designed and developed by Online Intelligence to enhance the knowledge and skills of the end-user, which accordingly leads to optimised utilisation of the software applications.

 


 

The following courses are scheduled and presented on a weekly basis:

1 Day

Computer Literacy

This is an introductory course with the aim to familiarise delegates with general computer usage and fundamental operations and concepts with an introduction to computer hardware and software.

They will be developing keyboard and mouse skills and will gain a basic computer vocabulary and understand computer terminology.

They will discuss basic issues related to responsible use of technology and information.

1 Day

Signal Tower

This course will guide the operator to effectively manage alarms and will be skilled in the general functionality of Signal Tower.

General terminology used within Signal Tower will be explained and operators will be skilled in managing alarm events.

The course contains many practical exercises and operators will learn how to capture, manage and report on alarm/event information.

1 Day

Signal Tower Administration

The administrator will be skilled in the following areas:

  • General functionality of Signal Tower
  • Terminology used within Signal Tower
  • Adding new system users and setting access control
  • Adding vehicles and guards
  • Create new account (client) and setup of zones
  • Guide the student to effectively acknowledge, dispatch, add feedback and close alarms
  • Searching for information
  • Practical exercises
  • Compiling of MIS reports and dashboards
1 Day

CiiMS Occurrence Book (OB)

Operators will be skilled in general functionality of the CiiMS OB and all terminology used within the CiiMS OB will be explained.

The operator will be guided to effectively capture and log data into the CiiMS OB.

The practical implementation of the CiiMS OB in the control room environment will be discussed and the operator will develop the necessary skills to create relevant and effective MIS reports, manage assets and resources. They will furthermore be skilled in the use of job cards, tasks, checklists and distribution lists.

This course also aims to prepare students for more advanced courses to follow.

CiiMS Occurrence Book Administration

The administrator will be skilled in the following areas:

  • General functionality of CiiMS OB
  • Terminology used within CiiMS OB
  • Adding new system users and setting access control
  • Searching for information
  • Practical exercises
  • Compiling of MIS reports and dashboards
  • System parameters and system maintenance
2 Days

CiiMS Professional

This course will guide the student to effectively collect risk and security related information into a structured intelligence. They will be shown how to search, filter, structure, visualise, analyse and manage data.

This course focuses on profiling, incident and investigation management. Students will be skilled on the use of dashboards, reports, management information and the practical implementation of Link Analysis.

CiiMS Professional Administration

The administrator will be skilled in the following areas:

  • General functionality of CiiMS
  • Terminology used within CiiMS
  • Adding new system users and setting access control
  • Searching for information
  • Practical exercises
  • Compiling of MIS reports and dashboards
  • System parameters and system maintenance
2 Days

iComply

Students will get a full understanding of all of the modules available in iComply and will be skilled in capturing, managing, and how to search, filter, structure, visualise and analyse data.

Students will be able to relate to the practical implementation of iComply’s different modules with an emphasis on setting up dashboards, management information and reports.

iComply Administration

The administrator will be skilled in the following areas:

  • General functionality of iComply
  • Terminology used within iComply
  • Adding new system users and setting access control
  • Searching for information
  • Practical exercises
  • Compiling of MIS reports and dashboards
  • System parameters and system maintenance

 


 

The following courses are scheduled and presented on an ad-hoc basis:

3 Days

How to operate effectively within a control room environment

This course is SASSETA Accredited under unit standard 11513 on a NQF level 4 with 15 credits.

5 Days

Crime Intelligence Analysis Course

The course is structured and designed to impart the trainees with the basic theoretical foundation and practical skills required by analysts, investigators, managers and profilers in the field of Crime Intelligence Analysis.

The course is founded in international and South African theoretical knowledge whilst translating the aforementioned into actionable and practical abilities and skills required in the everyday functioning and activities of Crime Intelligence Analysis.

 


 

These courses can also be offered in an advanced format, varying, from two weeks to as many as four to five weeks. The contents and duration of such courses will depend on your specific requirements and circumstances and can also be offered on junior, middle and senior level.
